FISSURE SEALANT 

 

It is a preventive dental procedure made in the dental clinic, where a plastic material is placed in the pits and fissures of the bitting surface of posterior teeth 

 

Its idea is to make these pits and fissures less deep and more easily cleaned ( decreasing sugar retention)

 

It should be applied as soon as the permenant teeth eurupt 

 

This procedure significantly decrease decay incidents in the pits and fissures of your posterioir teeth 

 

It may last for many many years but atleast it should last for not less than 6-months
